Although the Covid pandemic has now hopefully passed, we will still be taking cautions to protect both you and our staff. Safety is paramount.
We will assess each client and situation as they arise to determine if a heightened level of PPE is required. All of our care staff will continue to use aprons and gloves to support your personal care needs. As of April 23, we relaxed our policies in line with guidance from Public Health England to stop our care staff wearing masks. If you would prefer your care staff to be wearing masks as you have heightened difficulties with breathing, or catching infections, then our staff will wear masks when in close proximity.
(retired information on Covid 19 procedures Apr 23) During the Covid situation we will mostly be continuing to work as normal to ensure all our clients are supported at home.
Whilst we have been under pressure throughout most of 2020, the same as everyone else, we are starting to see some light.
We have been fortunate to recruit two more managerial staff and a number of Personal Carers to further support everyone.
All of our PA's have a supply of PPE to allow us to safely continue support in your own homes.
We are still conducting benefit assessments and other financial support services. We will attempt to conduct most of this over the phone. Where we need to attend peoples properties to complete the processes we will wear PPE to keep any risk to a minimum.
We want everyone to be safe. We will conduct a primary risk assessment prior to attending any home visit.
If you have had a stay in ANY NHS environment or Residential Care facility, please let us know as there can be an increased risk of infection in these environments.
